Got kids?
Families are welcome at Buzzards Bay Brewing. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask that children stay with their parents or guardians at all times—our farm isn’t a playground, and we want to keep it fun for all.
Pro tip: bringing along a favorite activity or toy goes a long way in keeping young visitors happy while the grown-ups enjoy a pint.
Ahoy Pups!
From November to April, we have food service in our Kettle. STATE LAW prohibits animals from being in any food service area. So dogs must stay outside during these months. During the milder months of June through October, dogs are often allowed in the Kettle (no food service occurs at these times).
Year-round, your best mate and you can enjoy the Brewers Garden and lawns. PLEASE keep some simple things in mind:
- Please keep your canine pal leashed at all times.
- Come with everything you need to clean up after poochie poo.

Sidney Yules11 October 2026Buzzards bay brewing is a beautiful spot in Westport within acres of farmland. The beer selection is great and service is great also. That being said, we go for the music. Pearly Baker band is one that we don't miss, and there is always live music on Saturdays. It's all outside, the armosphere is very chill. We live about 90 minutes away and it's always worth the trip and time well spent.
David6 September 2026Beautiful property and set up! lots of outdoor seating available plus some indoor tables. they have a selection on tap and some NA options which is always great for diverse groups. Staff was super friendly and they had food trucks/food vendors. would def go back!

Lots of families bringing their kids to challenge the corn maze. A great day. Update: It all works just as well on a sunny summer day after going to Horseneck Beach!

Great Brewery Thoroughly enjoyable brewery. Great layout with inside tables, outside tables, and a lot of other outside seating. Nice staff and excellent beers. Definitely worth the visit.

Outdoors you enjoy scenic fields, hip food trucks, long tables, mammoth stacked stones and a fire pit. Relaxed atmosphere. Great tasting beer made onsite- Try the Flounder.
dotsong26 April 2019Buzz at the brew Had an excellent night. Met some friends with small “well behaved” children. FYI purchase the glass it’s cheaper and refills are even cheaper. Tried the Cheeze Truck. Awesome. Also had the Cuttyhunk Oysters and Littlenecks. To die for. Extremely fresh. But very pricey. 27 for a doz Oysters 16 for a doz Littlenecks. Refills 5.50. Beautiful atmosphere friendly people and families. Live band was awesome.
mgpf991 September 2018Fun visit! We visited in the midst of downpours but had a great time nonetheless. There is room under the tent to stay dry..cornhole was moved indoors and the food trucks were there. The beer is great! They had just tapped Horseneck Golden IPA which the 2 IPA lovers enjoyed a lot. The staff is cheerful and happy to accommodate with a tiny taste before you buy a beer. Setting is lovely...well worth the drive.

neuroderm2 August 2018Good BEER GREAT Sandwiches The Brewery is a great time. The view and atmosphere is the best at any brewery I have been to. Flounder is the all around favorite, the red is great for a full body brew. The food surpasses that of any small brewery. Though it is technically in a food truck/trailer that is located outside--it is awesome. The various cheese sandwich combinations are wonderful to choose, if there is a group; go for the nachos.
Mike S5 July 2018Good beer, good people I come here regularly. If you’re coming as part of a vacation, I recommend summer night—perfect apres-beach destination. Moby-D is my year-round go-to Altbier. The other two year-rounders are Golden Floundah (a play on the no -er’s in MassSpeak), for those who prefer a lighter brew, and then Buzzards Bay IPA. But there’s always at least one rotating tap with a new or annual seasonal flav. (If you go late summer or early fall, you might catch two of my favorites: Lizzie’s 81-whacks red IPA [allusion to Lizzie Borden] and Boo!, a nutty brown ale.) Every beer is handmade on site and with farm fresh integrity. On weekends—and more often during the summer—you’ll enjoy the Beer Garden, which isn’t a bunch of tables packed into some patio; it’s a gorgeous New England scene of rock walls surrounded by the farm that is the brewery’s home. local music and Fancheezical, an awesome food truck with options for everyone. Additionally, there’s plenty of corn hole games to test your sobriety throughout your summer visit! My favorite part of Buzzards Bay Brewing is the people—employers and customers. It’s just a come-as-you-are place that welcomes you no matter who you are—even if you’re sweaty and wind-blown from the beach, a bike ride, or a run. Add this spot to your Westport destinations and soak in the New England sites and sounds. The pics are a mishmash of ones I have in my phone.
